Zoom with Beverly

I will be talking, via Zoom, about my long life as a columnist, (more than 40 years!) life during Covid-19, and life in general. The program is being presented by the Friends of the Needham Public Library, who wrote this generous press release: The best newspaper columnists have a perspective and gift with words that enlighten and move readers. In her biweekly column in the Boston Globe, Beverly Beckham writes insightfully and compassionately about relationships, experiences, and contemporary issues in ways that turn the personal into the communal. During a free Zoom presentation at 2 p.m. April 25, Beckham will talk about her evolution as a columnist over 40 years and her columns as a response to this year of Covid. Beckham says her columns are inspired by her belief that stories bring people together: "These are my stories, but they are your stories too. The personal becomes universal."
